  1. #5 Best Colleges in FloridaUniversity of Central FloridaOrlando, FL·4 Year·Rating 3.83 out of 5 22,404 reviewsJunior: The University of Central Florida provide students with a broad variety of programs of study, resources, and extra-curricular opportunities. Campus is huge and extremely lively. The school make it easy to get involved in extracurriculars; personally, being in the marching band has been an amazing experience that has allowed me to keep a healthy balance between my studies and my passion for music, not to mention the opportunity it has brought to meet new, wonderful people. Similarly, the many clubs on campus are an amazing way to begin building connections as a new student; in my case, as a Mechanical Engineering major, being involved in clubs gave me the valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience that is applicable to my major within my first semester in UCF. Overall, this school has a plethora of resources and support systems always at your disposal; you won't regret studying here!... 2. #20 Best Colleges in FloridaFlorida Gulf Coast UniversityFort Myers, FL·4 Year·Rating 3.87 out of 5 2,691 reviewsSophom*ore: The campus life is always very lively with constant student activities and delicious on-campus food options such as Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Dunkin Donuts, Brahma Express, Einstein Bros. Bagels, etc. The campus is medium sized, so you will quickly find you way around for your classes without too much worry for getting lost, furthermore, the professors are more able to care for each individual student in their classes to help them to succeed academically. This goes for the amount of students as well, as there is enough to where you may see similar people throughout a semester, but never be able to know everybody around you which gives a certain amount of freedom small schools are not able to offer. My favorite part about this campus though, despite the delicious food and (most of the time) caring professors, is how gorgeous this whole campus is. This campus was built in the everglades so you are constantly surrounded by nature and even a docile alligator named Ronaldo in South Village!... 5. #25 Best Colleges in FloridaUniversity of TampaTampa, FL·4 Year·Rating 3.64 out of 5 2,469 reviewsJunior: I've had a great experience here so far. My only big issue is with the system of academic advising. Upon enrollment, you are assigned a general advisor, but after that, you are assigned an advisor in your major. I had no issues with my general advisor, but once I got my major advisor I ran into some issues. My advisor was terrible at checking her email and it was weeks before I was able to set up a time to talk with her. When I finally did get a meeting, in all of 5 minutes my advisor said she didn't understand my transfer credits and recommended I talk to the department head. In the end, I ended up having an unofficial meeting with one of my professors to plan what classes I would need to register for.The whole process was incredibly demoralizing and from what I've heard from classmates, not uncommon when it comes to academic advising after a student's first semester.... 6. Hillsborough Community CollegeTampa, FL·4 Year·Rating 3.74 out of 5 2,500 reviewsFreshman: The Ybor campus is lively, diverse, and welcoming. It's in the heart of historic Ybor surrounded by humble brick walls, colorful murals, and most apparent of all, the rowdy roosters; just simply walking to class brought me joy. Students were passionate about events, I constantly saw flyers promoting the activities they were hosting. Some examples were: mental health workshops, a play adaptation of The Odyssey, career fairs, and fashion and talent shows. The community was charming and lovely. It consisted of mostly Black students and though I am Asian, everyone was inviting, kind, and friendly; they never made me once feel like an outcast. There's not much I would change about that campus. Ybor HCC has an immensely strong sense of community and inspired me to become a better student and person.... Every class feels like an exciting journey, and that's especially true since I took Introduction in Belief Systems with Professor Harry Murphy. But Lynn isn't just about hitting the books. The student life is incredible. There's always a buzz on campus, with events like movie nights under the stars and weekend adventures. As a Business Administration major at Miami Dade College, my freshman year has been splendid! I would say that I really liked classes like ENC1101 and ENC1102 since they helped me strengthen my teamwork, writing, and communication skills. 16. Broward CollegeFort Lauderdale, FL·4 Year·Rating 3.82 out of 5 4,294 reviewsSophom*ore: I really enjoy going to college. Broward College offers the same education as private schools. This is probably one of the least expensive colleges across America. You could manage your degree without having to go into debt with student loans. The college has multiple campuses to choose from depending on where you live in Broward County, Florida. All the professor I had encounter so far are highly qualified in their fields of study. You will be shocked to know some professors came from Ivy league schools and some teach at Broward College and other major universities at the same time. Such as University of Miami, Nova University and Florida International University. I am receiving same education at the fraction of the cost without getting into debt.
