There is a deeper meaning for God's Forbidden-Fruit command. This command is important for our survival and well being. The world would be a much beter place, if more people take this command seriously. We are all finite and fallible human beings with a free will, When people choose to play God and belive that they are free to do anything they want with thier power, money and technoloyg, they will eventually destroy countless people. That is why we need to remember that the forbidden-fruit command is the red line for humaniity; when we choose to cross this line, we will reach a point of no return with disastrous concequences. The forbidden fruit may be different for different individuals, but the consequence of eating is the same -- separation from God and a life of guilt, shame and fear. Fear of God is the most effective motivation to prevent us from eating the forbidden truit. According to the view, Adam and Eve's sin is not attrubuted to us, by repeated by us for making the same wrong choic on our own accord.

In terms of motivation and intention, it shoud be nothing less than 100%, even when we go through a long period of slump. Therefore, we need to think and use the language of maximals.

What kind of happiness can a 90 year old woman still enjoywhen her next step could be her last and her best day is one in which she can still have her normal functions, such as eating, sleeping and elimination? What kind of wellbeing can best describe her psychological and emotional state she has to depend on her accumulated life intelligence to make the best use of each day and hold on to her deep faith in God for protection every moment of the day? "Complete wellbeing"( https://lnkd.in/gx2XFgxM ) will not do, because her mobility is limited to her room, and most of her friends and loved ones have die, and her incomes is limited to her limited Penson? I have struggled with this question since my days of doing Successful Aging research (https://lnkd.in/g2H5daaf )? The task of finding a right label become more challenging when I need to pray for every step so that I will not fall and die like my mother, brother and many of friends. Considering all the research on happiness and wellbeing in the last 50 years, and the difficulty with finding the right terminology (https://lnkd.in/g7MkytGk ) I propose that spiritual-existential wellbeing may be most appropriate (https://lnkd.in/gusvC6FU ; https://lnkd.in/gy8fbnYK ). In order to include many people who self-identify as atheists or naturalists, existential-wellbeing or existential flourishing may be the best label ( https://lnkd.in/gc95JTeU https://lnkd.in/ggCVRnAe), because it is applicable to all people and their difficult lived experience rather than abstractions of only positive states. Thus,to achieve existential well being, we need to number our days so that we can learn the wisdom of how make the best use of our limited time on earth (Psalm 90:12) and learn to cope with all the inescapable hardships and evils in this broken world.Victor Counted, Ph.D.; Claude-Hélène Mayer; Matthew T.
