    • I have never tried regular oatmeal. I would think it would work just maybe will be softer consistency. Let me know if you try it and how it turns out.

      • I have done both rolled oats and steel cut. The rolled oats taste like mush, I really did not like it. That said, it was not inedible, but steel cut is much better!

      • I have not tried rolled oats. I am glad you liked the steel cut oats better. I have started to crave them.

      • old fashion oats are much better than the steel cut oats, the steel cut is hard and crunchy, no bueno the old fashion was much more enjoyable.

      • I have never had an issue with the steel cut oats being crunchy. I put the milk in, then oats topped with yogurt and fruit. Be sure to leave them in the fridge overnight…the longer they are in the fridge the softer they get.

  5. Is this really 1/4 c of uncooked steel oats? That would be more than 1 yellow since a yellow is cooked oats. Isn’t it?

    • You are right. I actually use my blue container to measure the oats. I updated it. Thanks! 🙂

    • For the oats 1 blue dry equals 1 yellow once cooked or soaked overnight since they expand.

  6. What’s the consistency of these overnight steel cut oats? I’m really late to the overnight oat train, only a month ago I tried for the very first time…the recipe called for rolled oats, but since I’m in the process of giving up instant oats, my alternative was steel cut. And I’d have to say, nothing happened overnight…I literally felt like I put oats in milk and had it for cereal the next morning. I was expecting a creamy consistency…but I got crunch.

    • Congratulations on giving up instant oats! With the steel cut oats it has sort of a chewy texture. I have found that the longer I leave them in the fridge the softer they get.

      • I did sign up for a coach, but didn’t know how to use her or what even to ask. Can I change coaches and what is the advantage of having one. Also, I just followed Autumn’s YouTube channel, but how do you follow a blog?

      • You will just need to contact Coach relations at (800) 240-0913 or at CoachRelations@teambeachbody.com
You will need to give them my coach id which is 630590. The advantage is having someone help keep you motivated and encourage you. I run challenge groups on facebook where I give meal plans, recipes and support to help you keep going. To follow a blog there should be a button to follow. Not sure about Autumn’s. I am just finishing up a challenge group and will be starting a new one. I would love for you to join me!
